Making A Difference

Corporate Responsibility

Explore our Culture of Corporate Responsibility

Corporate Responsibility is all about the WAY we do business; how we work to manage the company’s impact on our environment, our society, our communities and our people.

At LexisNexis® Risk Solutions, we believe in using data for good to solve problems and make a positive impact on people, industry and society. We deliver enhanced value to our customers by leveraging the power of insight through data, advanced analytics, and innovative technologies to help them solve problems, make better decisions, and improve operations.

Our purpose also guides our actions beyond the products we develop, it defines us as a company. Every day our employees are inspired to undertake initiatives that make unique contributions to society and the communities in which we operate.

We act with the highest ethical standards, while challenging our strengths to make a positive difference for society. To us, CR is not a program or a prescriptive set of activities, it is how we do what we do on a daily basis.

We work hard to increase our positive impact and reduce
any negative impact on our society and our communities.

Corporate Responsibility means performing to the highest commercial and ethical standards.

We channel our knowledge and strengths to make a real difference to society.

Working with the UN
Corporate Responsibility is vitally important to who we are as a company. Our policies are shared with our parent company, RELX, to ensure that we uphold the principles and responsibilities of good corporate citizenship.

Our Programs

Our three corporate responsibility programs are embedded throughout our business. It's vital that we look after our communities,
our environment, and ourselves, and each of our core programs has an important part to play.

We work to increase the positive impact we have on the environment through our products and services, while also striving to reduce our environmental footprint across our business and value chain.

We care deeply about making a real difference, and we demonstrate our commitment by providing our employees with two days a year to volunteer in our local and global communities.

We're passionate about health and wellbeing; they're such important enablers to living a fulfilling and purposeful life. It's our mission to help keep our employees physically and mentally happy.

Sustainability and Our Green Teams

We work to increase the positive impact we have on the environment through our products and services,
while also striving to reduce our environmental footprint across our business and value chain.

Making A Difference

  • Through our parent company, RELX, we have signed the Climate Pledge, aiming to achieve net zero across all carbon scopes by 2040 at the latest.
  • Part of the UN Race to Zero, RELX has committed to measure and report greenhouse gas emissions, implement decarbonisation strategies for emissions reductions and address residual emissions with high-quality offsets.
  • We are a Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) supporter and have expanded our TCFD disclosure.
  • Our network of 130 Green Team Champions leverage their power and passion for sustainability to help both the company and our employees reduce their environmental footprint.
Across RELX we have achieved a 74% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 (location-based emissions) since 2010.

Our Cares Program

We care deeply about making a real difference, and we demonstrate our commitment by providing our employees
with two days a year to volunteer in our local and global communities.

From sharing our expertise – providing charities with skills such as web development and content creation that non-profits would struggle to fund from their own budgets – to team challenge days where we work on various on-site projects for a wide range of charities, we proactively take time out to make a positive impact.

Cares Month

  • Each year we hold Cares Month to celebrate our commitment. During September over 2300 colleagues across the company took part in hundreds of volunteering and fundraising efforts.
  • From beach cleaning to landscaping, sorting clothes, books and food to a 14 mile sponsored walk – it was all to support amazing non-profits in our local and global communities.
Cares is the cornerstone of our community strategy, and last year our employees recorded over 42,000 volunteer hours through the Cares Program, supported by our amazing network of Champions.

Our Living Well Program

We're passionate about health and wellbeing; they're such important enablers to living a fulfilling and purposeful life.
It's our mission to help keep our employees physically and mentally happy.

Living Well

Our Living Well program brings wellbeing initiatives and activities to our people around the world.

  • Our established Mental Health Program includes a global network of employees trained as Mental Health First Responders and Menopause Mentors, and our network of dedicated Living Well Champions brings wellbeing initiatives to many of our offices.
  • We offer our people managers courses in Positive Leadership to help them hone their soft-skills and to bring elements of wellbeing to the management of their teams, and we host mental health and menopause awareness training for our managers and our employees. Our employee assistance program is on hand 24/7 to help our colleagues.
  • We host global Virtual Vitality events, as well as webinars and fitness classes, gym discounts and a free mindfulness app.
We have trained over 70 employees as Mental Health First Responders and Menopause Mentors. They are based in our offices across the globe to help support our people.

Our Partnerships

Nonprofits are superstars at achieving amazing goals to benefit society while operating on the tiniest of budgets in order to maximize impact within the communities they serve. And while technology and data solutions can revolutionize the way we address social issues, they are often unattainable for nonprofits due to high costs and the need for specialist employees. By partnering with organizations, our people have been able help transform the way we help those in need by doing what we do best.

The ADAM™ Program was developed by LexisNexis® Risk Solutions associates and donated specifically to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). It helps distribute posters of missing and at risk children across targeted areas quickly enough to be effective, sending alerts to recipients within minutes.

LexisNexis® Risk Solutions is a founding sponsor of The Knoble which mobilizes a team of volunteer financial crimes experts to detect, prevent and end human trafficking and scams against the vulnerable, including modern slavery, child and sexual exploitation victims, peonage and elder abuse.

Missing People's Lost Contact service provides a way to find and reconnect people who have lost contact. It is the only free tracing service in the U.K. and is powered by TraceIQ from LexisNexis® Risk Solutions which enables Missing People to find missing adults and sensitively make contact.

ADAM enhances our photo distribution efforts by rapidly distributing images and information about missing children to targeted areas. The program is a key component of our recovery efforts.
