LexisNexis Risk Solutions recently conducted a study that explored consumer insights, attitudes and perceptions of motor insurance in the UK. Of those 1,314 insured drivers and policy decision makers who were polled, surprising attitudes towards data and driverless cars were revealed. Over half (59%) of consumers polled that are familiar with the driverless car concept, believe that their motor insurance coverage will need to be different for a driverless car, and 19% of those people believe this will need to come from a different type of insurance company to the traditional ones they are used to. This whitepaper shows the outcome of the research conducted, and goes deeper into the findings.
