Mike Walsh appointed Chief Executive Officer of LexisNexis Risk Solutions

ATLANTA — LexisNexis Risk Solutions, the industry-leading data, analytics and solutions provider, today announced Mike Walsh has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. Walsh will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer of LexisNexis Legal & Professional. Risk and Legal will continue to operate independently, as two separate divisions of RELX.

Walsh joined RELX, the parent company of LexisNexis Risk Solutions, in 2003. He was head of strategy at LexisNexis Group when it made some of its early acquisitions in the Risk business and then ran US Legal Markets. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of LexisNexis Legal & Professional since 2011. Before joining RELX, he was a practicing attorney at Weil, Gotshal & Manges and a consultant at Boston Consulting Group. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and is a graduate of Yale University.

Walsh replaces Mark Kelsey, who, after nearly 14 years as Chief Executive Officer of LexisNexis Risk Solutions and 43 years at RELX, has decided to retire. Kelsey will support his successor during the transition, providing counsel and advice until the end of the year.
